Writing class
Today’s lesson focused on creative writing inspired by a picture prompt. To begin, the students carefully observed the image together and shared what they noticed. We discussed key vocabulary from the picture, including volcano, crater, snow, forest, mountain, and hiking, and practiced using these words to describe the scene in English.

After building this vocabulary as a class, the students used the words as a foundation for their own story writing. Some students focused on the natural setting and imagined an exciting adventure in the mountains, while others created original plots based on what might happen near the volcano. As they wrote, they worked on connecting ideas, choosing descriptive words, and turning their imagination into a complete story.
Through this activity, the students not only strengthened their vocabulary, but also learned how to use visual clues to develop ideas and organize them into writing. It was wonderful to see how the same picture inspired so many different stories, showing each student’s creativity and growing confidence in English expression.
