Christmas in the USA

In the United States Christmas is a very important holiday. It is seen as a time for many people to return home for the holiday to spend time with family. This is considerably different from how Christmas is celebrated in Japan.

Also in the US the main meal for Christmas dinner focuses around a food called Holiday ham. Much different from the KFC chicken in Japan! This meal is usually eaten on Christmas eve, and then the next day children wake up to presents under the tree.

Christmas in the US is more religion and family oriented than in Japan, but both are good because they celebrate the spirit of the season. Being warm to others and the joy of giving.
