Math Class

In one of our math classes at ATLAS International School in Gotanda, the students worked on word problems.

This month, the students have been practicing vocabulary to help them answer word problems. We have been walking through them to help them understand the situations to help them calculate given the data provided.

We went over key vocabulary that tells them when to add, subtract, multiply and divide in English.

We went over a few example word problems to help them get familiar with the process of figuring out when to use them.

After, they worked independently on word problems in their textbooks.

After, we went over the answers and how to solve problems that the students commonly got wrong.

The students asked questions to help them fix their mistakes. They did very well working individually.
