💻💻 Coding the Beats: Music Meets Computer Science!

Our older students kicked off an exciting new computer science activity today: mixing music using code!

Before making any noise, we had to master the syntax so the computer could actually interpret and play our tracks. We broke down the 6 main commands together on the board, learning exactly what a "beat" means in code and what the rows indicate.

To really lock in the logic, we took a break from the screens and went analog. Students were handed paper beat maps and tasked with translating premade code into a visual rhythm layout. They spent the rest of the session working independently, cracking the code to see how programming and creativity sync up. 🎵👾
