Atlas Classes: Grade 8

For the higher Atlas classes, we cover more advanced topics and more serious subjects. The curriculum and subject matter are often created by the teachers as well, so the subject matter is much better suited to the class than the broad strokes given by other classroom-based education styles. This has been shown by the attendance of students who are burned out by traditional education in Japan.

The content of most of the curriculum is based on the Australian curriculum standards with the science, language arts, and reading comprehension materials coming from Australia. This keeps much of the material in line with international standards for education.

This freedom in the classroom has allowed the students to develop more personally with the material. the classroom environment is something that is special about this form of education that public education simply can not offer. It's for this reason that students are interested and engaged with learning at Atlas.
