Hands-On Geography: Exploring Our Big World!
Our students turned into world explorers today! Using classroom globes, our young learners got a hands-on look at how big and connected our planet really is.
During our lesson, students practiced foundational map skills by:
Finding the Continents: Locating all seven big landmasses on the globe.
Tracing the Oceans: Identifying the world's oceans and seeing where they meet.
Using Cardinal Directions: Practicing North, South, East, and West to navigate around the globe.
The best part of the day was the country scavenger hunt! Students had fun using their new skills to find different countries, trace equator lines, and point out far-off places. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they discovered new spots on the map.
