Cherry blossom season!

Today, we had a fun activity to celebrate spring in Japan! We gave the kids black paper and chalk, and they used their imagination to draw what reminds them of spring here. Most kids drew cherry trees, also known as cherry blossoms!
We talked about spring traditions, like cherry blossom viewing, and also included some spring-themed snacks and drinks.

We took a photo from our school window in the Gotanda F building. Soon Meguro river below will be filled with pink cherry blossom petals that will fall from the cherry trees lining up on either side of the river! We can’t wait to see them in a couple of weeks!
